hardware and a drag and drop coding language based on Scratch.
Students will work through a series of challenges including a simple Hopper Robot, Race to Brake and Dancing Robots.
Please note students will be working in pairs sharing a laptop and a LEGO® Education Spike Prime set.
Now Introducing LEGO® ROBOTICS WORKHOPS FOR OLDER ADULTS
Why should Teachers and Students have all the fun?
LEGO® is well-known with multiple generations as a great versatile tool and has become a common ground between different age groups from children to adults.
For this reason, I have decided to offer introductory fun, engaging hands-on workshops for older adults using the LEGO® Education Spike Prime set.
Absolutely no prior experience or knowledge needed. The workshops offered are designed for those with no idea what LEGO® Robotics is. You may be interested
to know what your grandkids are doing in school, or curious to what is happening in schools with Science, Technology, Engineering & Maths. (STEM) or you may just want to play
with LEGO® and see what it's all about. No matter what the reason you're welcome to attend and guaranteed to have fun.

Student Workshops
I can come to your school and work with you to personalise the sessions to suit your specific requirements. Usually, 2-3 hours in length working with Years 2-6. The skills that students use when they are motivated to play and make things, are the skills that are most critical to problem-solving and creative thinking. These are also a fundamental way of learning language, reading, writing, and mathematics.
